Stockton Golf & Country Club's Championship 18 hole park style course, designed by Sam Whiting, was completed in the late 1920's which replaced the original nine holes.

Stockton Golf & Country Club was honored in 1990 by being designated as one of the golf courses to host the qualifying rounds for the US Open. Many prestigious golfers have also been hosted over the years including Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Doug Sanders, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Johnny Miller. In addition, the club is proud to be known as the home course for Ricky Barnes, 2002 US Amateur Champion.
